The busy M62 runs east to west connecting directly to the M6, the M1 and other local motorways. The M66 runs north to south linking Manchester and North East Lancashire via the M65 to the M6 at Preston. The Manchester orbital motorway, the M60, forms a big ring around the city and provides a direct link to Manchester Airport, whilst also improving access to all parts of the city region.

Bury town centre is easily accessible by road. Once you have got off the motorway follow the signs towards the town centre. There is parking at the Rock, Mill Gate Shopping Centre, the market and round the edge of the town centre.

Bury is just half an hour from central Manchester by Metrolink tram. Our shopping and visitor attractions are just as Bury near.

 Excellent connections link Bury to the city of Manchester, Altrincham, Salford Quays and Eccles. The Metrolink tram service provides services every 12 minutes which deliver passengers direct into the heart of Manchester city centre. The tram links Bury with the intercity rail hub at Piccadilly Railway Station where services operate every 20 minutes to London alongside regular services to leading business destinations such as Birmingham, Sheffield and Liverpool.

Getting to Bury by bus couldn't be easier. Dedicated bus lanes operate on the major roads around the borough to ensure a quick and speedy journey. Buses arrive and depart at Bury Interchange from Accrington, Altrincham, Bolton, Burnley, Manchester City Centre, Rochdale, Oldham and Sale. The Bus Interchange is in the heart of the town centre and just a short walk from all major shopping and tourist destinations.
