THE ROCK IS VOTED MOST LOVED DESTINATION FOR A DAY OUT IN BURY

24th February 2011

The Rock has been named the best loved business in the ‘days out and attractions’ category of The Best of Bury campaign.

The Best of… is a national campaign to find the most loved businesses in towns and cities across Britain. Thousands of local people from Bury and the surrounding areas put forward their nominations for their favourite Bury businesses as part of the national campaign, which is run by local business champion, Debi Fellone and her team.

The Best of Bury team spent the day at The Rock on 5th February, talking to visitors to get their feedback and comments about the scheme. Despite the rain on the day, the atmosphere was great and spirits were high.

Debi Fellone at The Best of Bury, said: “The huge number of local people who took time to write testimonials and join us at our campaign day at The Rock on the 5th February goes to show just how important great businesses are to this local community, especially during difficult economic times. Businesses like The Rock are the engine room of our economy and lots of local business owners in Bury– and their loyal staff – are feeling great today because their efforts have been recognised and appreciated by so many of their customers.”

Nikki Kitchen, marketing manager for The Rock, added: “The Rock opened to the public in July last year and we are proud to see that the local people of Bury have taken the scheme to their hearts so soon after opening. The amazing feedback received on the campaign day and our success in this category is proof that there was a need for an attraction like The Rock in Bury. The Rock has quickly become a staple in local people’s daily leisure activities and we are pleased to see that all our hard work in is being appreciated.”
