Famous for it’s blackpudding the award winning Bury Market is one of the biggest and best around.
Every year Bury Market attracts over a thousand coach loads of visitors to the town making it a must see attraction. The bustling busy market is the perfect place to hunt a bargain, unusual gift or some fantastic local produce. Bury Market is packed with a wide variety of stalls.

The market is also home to the renowned meat and fish hall and the produce on sale here helped Bury Market be crowned ‘BBC Best Food Market’ 2009. The hall is full of fresh local produce, local delicacies and the finest fish and meat - a perfect treat for your shopping basket and taste buds.

Throughout the year the market has a number of cookery events, demonstrations and special events taking place.

Mill Gate Shopping Centre

Next to Bury's world-famous market is Mill Gate, Bury's shopping centre. It boasts over 140 shops and cafes - almost all of which are under cover - and welcomes more than 300,000 shoppers every week. Not surprising considering Mill Gate has award-winning customer service, free Kiddy Cab hire, a free Kids Club for its younger shoppers - and free parking on Sundays. Add in the fact that Mill Gate shoppers are treated to a year-round calendar of events, entertainment and promotions - and it is easy to see why so many people put the shopping centre at the top of their list when planning a visit to Bury. The Rock
The Rock
Bury's newest shopping and leisure development The Rock opened on 16 July. The new development brings 60 new stores to the heart of the town centre. There are many famous names including Debenhams, Primark, CULT and H&M which bring city centre fashion to the heart of the town centre.

The Rock Development is full of modern architecture, new public art work and also a new garden space in the heart of the town centre. Visitors have been packing the shops - with over 100,000 people visiting Bury on the opening weekend.

Ramsbottom

The thriving market town of Ramsbottom sitting on the edge of the West Pennine Moors offers a blend of both contemporary and traditional streets, and a growing reputation for designer shopping, together with award winning restaurants and cafes. Independent shops provide a unique range of gifts, homeware, quality cookware, local artwork, antiques, designer clothing, unusual gifts and toys, organic and high quality beauty products as well as a delicatessen and quality wine. With great transport links including a steam railway the town is proving to be a great place to live and visit. Regular events in Ramsbottom include a monthly farmers market, annual chocolate festival and Steam railway theme weekends.

Tottington

Tottington is a popular district centre sitting in the heart of a popular residential area. The centre of Tottington is home to a range of local independent shops, restaurants and supermarkets.


Prestwich
Prestwich
Known locally as Prestwich Village, and with excellent links to Manchester city centre including Metrolink, Prestwich provides an ideal location for shopping eating and leisure. With a great mix of shopping, combining supermarket shopping with major well known high street retailers, and a good range of friendly independent shops and services ideal for finding specialist products and gifts.
An increasing choice of restaurants and cafes including Italian, Mediterranean, Bistro and traditional can all be found in “the village”, and with access to green space and recreational facilities within walking distance of the centre, Prestwich is an increasingly popular place to live.

With a mix of major supermarket shopping (adjacent to the centre), a national chain textile/homeware outlet complementing a good range of shops and services in Radcliffe town centre, focused around the towns Piazza public square. Furniture, homeware, cards, gifts, pharmacy, opticians, pets, jewellery, florists, and great value food outlets can all be found. In addition the Radcliffe indoor Market located in the heart of the town and open 3 days per week provides great value for money shops and services in a traditional friendly environment. Leisure facilities including the swimming pool, civic suite and library and more recently a state of the art health centre combined with close proximity to the countryside ensure that Radcliffe provides a wide range of easily accessible community facilities.


Whitefield
Whitefield
Predominantly a residential multi cultural centre Whitefield boasts a variety of shops bars and restaurants. The main shopping quarter of Bury New Road (A56) provides a wide range of independent shops and services in addition to the compact shopping and leisure facilities at the Victoria Square and Elms shopping precincts and more recent supermarket facilities. Designer clothing, bags and shoes, beauty products, cycling, music, hair beauty and pet services are all provided, many as independents, offering advice and individual service, together with a growing range of specialist wedding shops and services.
Many companies also offer professional and personal advice in the financial, legal, health and medical service areas.
Cuisine in Whitefield is extensive including traditional English, Chinese, Italian, Indian and Thai together with award winning choclatier and food emporium.
